Sign up for the Nederlandse Tour opened up this morning and Team JAN is in again for their 6th appearance in this tour. Our best result was in season 29, when Franz Amelung was third in the GC with the worst TT ever rode by a captain.. But this time, we've got the feeling we are even stronger.
These 6 riders are selected to bring back eternal glory to Belgium:
Captain:
Fabrice Herinckx: This young Belgian might lack experience, but he does have the skills. Scouted and trained by Team JAN, we are really proud that he can serve as a worthy captain. We recently also TT-centered him, so he is ready to go!
221-sprinter, 214-time trialer, xp-level: 3
LO-sprinter 1:
Franz Amelung: This one has the most experience of all in this tour, so he will lead Fabrice in the final kilometres.
213-sprinter, xp-level: 6
LO-sprinter 2:
Roy Kaisen: Roy has had a great season so far, so he is a bit disappointed he can not ride as captain. But he had his chance in the Volta, where he got 2nd. Maybe Fabrice can defeat Ely Henault this time.
211-sprinter, xp-level: 4,5
LO-sprinter 3:
Andres Pavlas: This 30 year old Czech was also trained by Team JAN, but he never reached his full potential. That's why he always stayed a LO, except for a few races. Despite his lack of results, he still is a very experienced rider.
211-sprinter, xp-level: 6
Allround LO:
Ketil Boisen: Ketil is getting older and you could see this in his result list. He doesn't have the punch to win a race no more, but he still is a great LO!
223-sprinter, xp-level: 6
LO-1 / Wind Breaker:
Diego Burrieza: This rider was attracted to the team and trained as a LO1. He knows he will never be a captain, but that doesn't matter. He gladly keeps up the pace in the last 10 kilometres. His big dream is to ride a result in one prologue or another.
194-LO1, xp-level: 5
As you can see, this is one of the strongest (maybe even the strongest) that Team JAN ever brought to the Nederlandse Tour! With this team and the TT-skills of our captain, we hope on a top 5 in the GC and to win the YC. Dream Big :)

Looking forward to this Tour and i'm sure we weil have some nice battles again.
You have an impressive squad and you don't need BA's this time to get some good results. ;)
Ely won't be riding as captain at NL unless Storrs gets injured. But it will be a greatbattle in the YC though!
Nice train indeed.
Well... good luck with him. For sure one of the main contenders for YC!
@Optimus Prime: Thanks, you too!!
@V02maXXers: Prologue has always been bad for me, I hope with this TT-stat it goes better. I know he is not a sprinting champion, but I hope his many LO sprinters give him the edge :)
Herinckx might be a contender if he performs well on the prologue. It will be hard for him to gain boni seconds in the other stages.
great team. good luck!
